Honda is Hiring an Account Representative Near Marysville, OH
- Support in the sourcing of trial material for Japan and US die trial events.
- Provide customer service function for assigned customers including regular order status update.
- Invoice customers for all costs associated with securing trial material.
- Maintain database with updated sourcing information for each trial and communicate to customers.
- Inform freight forwarder of export shipment availability for pickup.
- Work with new model groups, both internal and external, to source raw material requirements to support new model activity, both domestic and international. Support NAP’s sourcing strategy and adhere to maker layout set forth by model. Coordinate movement of this material, both domestically and internationally, to support requested delivery dates driven by die maturation schedules. Meet with key Honda organizations including HRA, HGT, NAP, EGA, and New Model Groups to proactively review sourcing concerns with alternatives.
- Thorough knowledge of customers & their expectations; rapid response to inquiries; no pending claims; regularly scheduled visits to customer facilities; strive to exceed customers' expectations
- Act as contact liaison between HTA and assigned suppliers (mills, processors, freight, etc.); regularly funnel feedback using QCDDM philosophy & evaluations - (lead meetings, determine delivery % goals, track, present and coordinate agenda & presentation packets); ensure open lines of communication to discuss organizational improvements.
- Work closely with suppliers/customers/HAM/HTA (internal) to initiate ideas for cost down; create problem & situation analysis to determine benefits, schedule time lines as needed; communicate effectively to encourage goals be met; present updates and results regularly to management.
- Ability to work in systems (Excel, EMO and SAP) to monitor trial activity, create materials, Purchase orders, potetnatially Sales Orders and Invoices.
- Understand assistant's daily work activity; encourage information status updates of projects and weekly activities; provide encouragement and direction; coach and counsel to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Keep management informed of all potential problems or personal concerns; develop one page scenarios to present ideas and keep individuals and groups abreast of information
- Purchasing or sales experience ( required)
- Logistics experience (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of cost accounting (preferred)
- Customer service experience ( required)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
